Yesterday we had the 2 front doors installed. The dented metal door and the barn-siding which used to fill the second door opening will not be missed!

Things there are really comming together. Love the exterior paint combo, and those doors are great.
Oh, pretty! I've always wondered in houses like this... which one is the FRONT door, and WHERE does the other door go? :)
Jennifer-
The front door is the one that is straight ahead when you apprach the house. It enters into what we're calling the entry/dining room (we removed a wall, so it's a little larger). It was the door that would historically be used by the residing family of the household. The door on the left would enter the living room or what was likely the parlor or formal room to welcome guests. And I think I've heard that it was also used for visiting hours and viewings when someone became "deceased". Not that we have any proof that any of that happened in this house!
what a difference a door makes!
Those doors are gorgeous! They really pull the rest of the improvements to the exterior together. You can never underestimate how welcoming or unwelcoming a front door can be. Nice work!
