Prime Time!

It's not my favorite chore, but it's a necessary one. Today I primed the drywall in the master bedroom in the hopes of adding color sometime this week. Eric and I also visited Evans Carpet, formerly known as the "Carpet Junkyard." It's a big old warehouse where they literally have rolls and rolls of carpet to choose from. You COULD also order out of one of the standard books, but you save a lot of moulah if you like something they've got lying about. We picked out a nice low profile tan shag and saved ourselves about $500 off what we were going to spend with Buddy's Carpet. All former frustration for our porch guy, Justen has turned into admiration for his resilience in cold temperatures. He was outside all day today finessing the trim on our porch. He added a column, the top and bottom rail and was talking about setting up lights and working on the ceiling when we left the house at 5PM!
